"Where's our greasy write up already?"
As this forthright request fell into my DM this afternoon I was inspired (yes, it appears I'm a masochistic Pisces ascendant) to fill you in on this new moon. I actually wrote a blog yesterday and my phone deleted it as I went to send (fucking love that) and I thought to myself - let it go, Els. But sometimes some things in life are worth a second go are they not? - a theme I think prevalent to this new moon. It's time to manifest finally in the 11th hour (and month) of this rollercoaster of a year. The most astounding piece of the puzzle tomorrow morning as the moon crescents in light from darkness Jupiter FINALLY moves forward in the sky. Jupiter rules many things - husband, children, fortune, wisdom, expansion, luck, faith and merriment to name a few. As he was going backward for so many months we have been twisted in these areas - thwarted, crooked and surprised at every turn. Perhaps doubting and contracting and just plain waiting for things to become clear. Well it's nice to say after all the eclipse shitstorm of the past couple of moons this is your chance to see a path - remember those - something that feels like it's going somewhere that you can work/walk towards?! Something like Dorothy finding the yellow brick road (without the creepy munchkin smirks and dropping a house on Elphaba - though not too unlike the past few months). An Anuradha moon is the star of success heralding in the shakti of worship/devotion. When we worship something we do it with our full heart/spirit. I think this is what so many of us have been craving and lost without for so long now. So when setting an intention tomorrow morning around 10am AEDT have the objective to manifest something that you can put your full heart into. What is it that will truly make you sing and dance right now? Of course you may not be clear as the moon itself is in debilitation meaning the mind is either obsessive or in turmoil right now). So light a lamp in front of an altar or a beautiful spot in your house/nature tonight under the black moon and sit with the depths of yourself and finally ask: What is it I truly want? Let it wash over - feel it out. Give your heart the time to actually tell you. Get out of your mind - scrap the lists and feel it. Fully. Then invoke into your body tomorrow morning when you're ready and pray in your own way to manifest into being. See it happen, feel how it feels and fully let it all go. Stay light, Mark :) #astrology #vedicastrology #jyotish #horoscope #newmoon #jupiter #sydneyoga #yogasydney

October October October. That feeling that has been slowly arising, the one that is hard to clarify, the one that you can dismiss yet always returns, the one that says 'something is coming but not yet not yet'...well this feeling, this voice is going to get louder and will also be farther reaching than you can imagine. October (and early November) is such a big astrological event that I couldn't not write about it.
As lord of time Saturn slows down in the sky to stillness our time during our every day days becomes warped and slow. This in itself is such curious timing before the craziness begins. And by curious I should probably say: very important. It is very important that you slow down right now, use your utmost patience, discipline and moral action. You will need these gifts as you travel through what is to come. And what is to come? The winds of great change. As Saturn starts to grind forward on the 24th of October we enter the solar eclipse new moon on the 25th. This year this lines up with Diwali - the festival of the lights in India - and the lighting of the soul is needed through the darkness to see where the winds will take you. This will be like a blast of chaotic energy after the slowing down of Saturn and you could literally be 'all over the shop'. The days before and after this eclipse will scatter your energy - this of course doesn't need to be 'negative'. These winds can swiftly sweep out clutter/dross/negativity from your life or can seriously unsettle if you don't channel it so. This is where the test of detachment and patience of Saturn is vital. Mars turns retrograde joining Jupiter's backward motion at the end of the month and this will unsettle deeper. Bringing us into the lunar eclipse full moon in Bharani. A culmination of these winds of change will end here as the shakti of this moon will finally take it all that has been lifted up and scattered away. Saturn then is on the home stretch out of Capricorn that began back in January 2020 and we all know what began then...these next couple of months are full of energy but they shall lead us on to great change. And great change is what we all need. Stay light, Mark :) #astrology #jyotish #vedicastrology #eclipse #astrologersofinstagram #saturn A new moon is often a time to shed a skin. A skin we may have manufactured over the span of a month. Or sometimes over many lifetimes. Letting go can sound so liberating (especially in a buzzword world) but in actuality can be some of the scariest work we do. Allowing ourselves to see what we sidestep and bury into shadow can be murky, confronting and altogether upsetting. To even admit avoidance can be heavy work on the road to unmasking. And it is an unmasking that is what is happening. The many masks we wear to protect, bolster and pretend we fit into something that ultimately we do not. The identity is just that - something attempting to define something that is indescribable. You my friend are indescribable. Do not limit yourself to the fences you create.
Ok now please can someone help me down off this soapbox - oh no one is here...*hobbles down* There is much beauty in this mighty Magha new moon. With Venus and Mercury on either side of the Sun and Moon we are embraced by these two benefic planets. With these two I see it that there can be a support from relationships and of intellectual clarity/discernment as we unmask. Though along this journey in the next day or two there may be mourning and there may even be out of body experiences as you dethrone your old identity to make way for the new one. Another curious part of a Magha moon is that is has a lot to do with our ancestors. If we look down the line of our past we can see patterns. Curiously we carry similar afflictions to those walking the earth before us if we lean into this heritage. This is not just our hereditary illnesses and diseases. But traumas, habitual wounds, addictions and desires unfulfilled begging for satiation. For in our evolution of our family line we propel the next generation to finish what we started or couldn't finish/resolve. Investigating these long held patterns and cycles can be very painful yet ultimately illuminating and ever more so liberating. And liberation is what we seek this new moon. An everlasting world and you're here with me, eternally Xanadu ~ Electric Light Orchestra/Olivia Newton-John There is an energy building slowly jettisoning you, hurling you, towards something. Like an asteroid in the sky without knowing where or if there is an end to the journey you free fall through the abyss with only the journey itself as comfort. Gone is the bed of habits and conveniences that once created solace and now it is the unknown that is the home itself. This is the way. The only way now from here. A Dhanishta full moon in Capricorn (true astronomical position) has the symbol of a drum. A drum like the heart creates momentum and circulates a rhythm to create the momentum of life. There is a momentum this full moon with a beat you can move to and towards to create more prosperity in yours (and others) lives. Friday 11:35am AEST the moon fully illuminates us into this beat and joins Saturn in the sky. The conjunction will have us thinking long-term and seriously about concepts questioning 'what is the endpoint' 'where is this going' 'who do I really want to be' 'is this the truth'. This perhaps somber and sober retrospective is vital for you to find this abundance or prosperity in your life to follow. With the anger of the past month dissipating (read my previous post about mars and rahu) there is a depression on the mind to isolate and find the inner rhythms you may have forgotten or lost touch with. Turning within at this time, listening to yourself deeply and 'tuning in' is the only guide you will need to find solace on the adventure ahead. Dhanishta can bring fame but in a world too often saturated in illusion, vanity and attention seeking dare to come home to truth, nurture your authenticity and bathe in humility for these attributes will inspire the world to dance towards the greatest destination of all - the soul. When you're searching for pleasure How often, pain is all you find But when you're coasting along and nobody's trying too hard You can turn around and like where you are ~ The Sundays (When I'm thinking about you) The Pushya new moon in vedic Cancer (Karka) is a moment on our path to slow down and tune in to (and care for) the spiritual heart. The need to fill up and nourish the heart is most prevalent at this time. A new moon is said to cause us to feel strongly inwardly, yet not easily share this depth outwardly. It is also said to open the doorway to the occult - so be open to visions, dreams, signs and strong intuitions to guide you. By the time the moon kisses the sun in the sky tomorrow Jupiter reverses in the sky also joining Saturn, Neptune and Pluto in retrograde. This seems significant as it happens around the new moon. Jupiter grows stronger as he slows down and expands closer to the earth. Filling us with divine wisdom and dharma (purpose) - yet as it's a new moon if you're not filling your mind with pure and good information it can also expand your negative thoughts and feelings too - so it's vital you're very conscious of what you're pouring into your mind (and heart) over the next day or two. Loving and true (I say 'true' as in they feel real and clear) affirmations are a good start. Mantra and meditation are a wonderful tool to raise your vibration as well. (I have a kirtan tomorrow night in Coogee if this calls to you - booking link in bio) Lastly there is a lot of heat and friction in the sky at the moment. Mars is charging closer and closer to Rahu (north node) in Aries creating anger, confrontations and harsh projections onto the world/others. Reactions are your biggest concern and the drama of combative illusion. Yet there is always learnings to be had - all this is amplified in you to show you where your inadequacies lie. Where do you feel weak or uncourageous in your life? Where do you need to apply boundaries and what actions do you need to take to healthily respect and back yourself? Watch out for harsh speech and flying off the handle (if you like holding on to handles). Love is a doing word Fearless on my breath Gentle impulsion Shakes me, makes me lighter Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my breath ~ @massiveattack We are in the eye of the storm of transformation folks! Destruction falls around us with choices on where to go next on the cloudy horizon. This Ardra new moon calls for a fresh start. It calls for progress and with this progress takes effort on your behalf. But as always when one is in a storm it is intense, scary and yet also electrically exciting. An interesting symbol for this new moon is a tear drop. We humans usually cry in intense situations to express and release built up tension. But we also cry in times of joy and relief from hard situations. Either way expression and release is here. Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn have all arrived into signs they are dignified in. With dignity comes a feeling of belonging and strength. Taurus, Libra, Aries, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Pisces, Capricorn and Aquarius are all feeling self assured and ignited at this time. This tells me there is much support from this new moon and most certainly we can support each other. Here in Sydney we see protests and road closures and much rain (AGAIN) on the way. This may not be an 'easy' transition but it will feel right to make change and act on it. New moon blessings to you all! Stay light, Mark :) #astrology #vedicastrology #jyotish #astrologersofinstagram #newmoon #horoscope #gemini #sydneyyoga #yogasydney #bondiyoga #yogabondi Tuesday 9:51pm AEST. The light of the full moon knots the spirit and you shall not untangle this knot (or gandanta) in a way you would expect or perhaps even like. There is a peril (or maybe even plural perils) present in your life that needs to be fronted up to. To be overcome. This will need to be conquered but it all starts within the mind. The habits formed and accepted/indulged or even denied need to be overhauled and changed to reflect who you are now and where you want to go. This is a great time for a cosmic slap of sorts and to get clear, even more so to GET REAL, on your goals.
Saturn in retrograde presents us all with a slowing down. A restructuring. There will be delays and revisions. But unlike when Mercury reverses in the sky this happens on a much deeper and less obvious level. This will only become depressing if you aren't paying attention and go against your inner compass. Who are you? Do you like who you are and who you've become? The past 2 years have reshaped our world and knocked many of us sideways. We had to renavigate and adapt but with this adaption came a forgetfulness. A forgetfulness of what we uniquely stand for. We did what we needed to do to get by, but the time has come to reshuffle to a higher ground. My Scorpio and Taurus (rising, moon and sun) friends will greatly feel this knot this full moon. It will be twisting and turning inside of you and you know that things need to change. And finally you know what needs to be done and after the lunar rays shine to full over the coming 24 hours or so you will be able to discard what needs to be and work towards the new by the new moon in a fortnight. These two signs (within us all regardless of your chart) reflect our worth and sustenance. What we hold and what let fall. The knot can only untangle with the death of one thing to breathe life into another. Let the rhythm pull you in It's here so touch it You know what I'm sayin' And I haven't said a thing Keep the record playin' Slow down and dance with me, yeah, slow Skip a beat and move with my body, yeah, slow ~ Kylie Minogue The next fortnight symbolises a slowing down from the previous few lunar cycles. Saturn the planet of time and karma in the sky is decreasing in speed and coming to a halt before retrograding Sunday morning. This is not a time to rush or hurry (even though Mars and Jupiter in conjunction will encourage you to do so) but a new lunar beginning of being what we have learned from the previous ones (read my previous full moon post to get a gist). Humility, patience, integrity, responsibility and cutting through the BS are required forging ahead this new moon. Mercury moving direct on Friday in Krittika reiterates that we will be able to see clearly and communicate this clarity through this upcoming month. Put your money where your mouth is, walk the talk, patience is a virtue (anyone else know any more of these colloquial sayings?)... Yet the Moon and Sun being in Rohini brings a vast amount of sweetness into our lives at this time. Even though we are slowing down and getting real it also parallels slowing down to smell the roses and enjoy the moment/what we have in our lives. This is one of those times when we realise we have been so busy and distracted that we have missed all that we have become and all the wonder that surrounds us. Being projected onto a goal or a future incessantly quite often takes us further away from the happiness we are seeking; for happiness can only happen in the present moment. This is that moment and as Kylie says above 'slow down and dance with me'. Many of you lovely humans have reached out to me recently asking how the eclipses (and big shifts of April) have impacted but without wishy-washing a glorious system that is vedic astrology it is better to look at your unique chart to uncover the personal shifts. With that in mind I'm offering a 10% discount for June if you use code 'eclipse' at booking to help you find your answers. Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landside, No escape from reality Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see, I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy, Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low, Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to Me ~ Queen Our trickster friend Mercury turns retrograde-o today and perhaps some are feeling it...though let me let you in on a little secret: unless Mercury is dominant in your chart (such as ruling your Ascendant, Moon or to a lesser degree your Sun) it doesn't have to be some dramatically calamitous unwiring as the pseudo spiritual communities lead you to believe. In fact it can create a lovely refresh of the intellect allowing thoughts to change and rewire the mind into unconventional greatness. Take it from me. I was born with this phenomenon and you're still reading this blog...so hey it ain't so bad, kid! Ok so Mercury is the least of our problems earthling. As we ascend toward the full moon and the lunar eclipse at the end of this weekend we are jettisoning into the culmination of karma initiated almost 2 weeks ago with the new moon. The endings, reshuffles, surprises and unpredictability is hurtling us all towards the full moon in Vishaka. Moving from the Aries - Libra axis of me vs we, we transition into Taurus - Scorpio axis of mine vs yours. It takes true self worth this full moon to differentiate what is truly for you and what is only temporal gratification. A great exercise these coming days building up to the full moon is write down/get clear of what you desire (Taurus) and notice where you act against this, giving away your power to the wrong avenues (Scorpio). This is the time in your life to walk the talk. Quit saying you want something yet acting opposite or even worse diagonally sidewards into confusion town. This is that moment in history if you use your full integrity of combined intention, word and action you can harvest the fruit that is rightfully yours. The only trick is you need to get SUPER clear on what is actually authentically your truth vs what others have pushed you into either by their own intentions, words or physical actions. If you feel like sharing your intention please leave it in the comments - if it's something that needs to be kept sacred until it eventuates honour that - but please dear ones let's polish those dreams so the stars can shine brighter on us this full moon. The glory is ours if we can hold our ground and hold our heads high. Stay light, Mark :) #astrology #vedicastrology #jyotish #horoscope #astrologersofinstagram #aries #libra #taurus #scorpio #yogasydney #sydneyyoga Great Bonnie! We have another eclipse turning, twisting and well fückin' us up. I've noticed many here in Sydney only existing in their heads (and then even further afield). With the karmic axis strongly showing us where we need to detach in relationships particularly our past patterns of toxic dependence and inner child wounding up for all to see...we have an opportunity this weekend to end this shït for good! Excuse the vulgarity - but all this energy is well...vulgar.
We have so many blessings at the moment in the sky lover Venus, wise Jupiter and ethereal Neptune in a beautiful conjunction in cosmic hearted Pisces drawing us into what is all magical and wonderful about this universe...the Sun exalted in passionate Aries and Saturn in strength in humanitarian Aquarius are also a point of strength to build your healthy sense of self and connection with community. The new moon moon in Bharani has the Shakti to LET GO (now as someone who is tired of repetitive yoga class rhetoric I'm not just wishy washying this at you I MEAN IT - LET THAT SHÏT GO PLEASE). Apologies for the caps. Let's get real: What is your biggest fear? The fear that would feel like it would kill you? This is it my friend. Yes this can be in physical life such as a person, job, home but I have the feeling we are all dealing with deeper inner wounds now together. We are getting closer to the source. And these childhood wounds are only creating this external example of what isn't LOVE. For you to move forward into all the gifts of May and begin fresh this is your eclipse to really DO THE WORK (another phrase I hate over hearing). But yeah. Do it. For YOU.
