A new moon is often a time to shed a skin. A skin we may have manufactured over the span of a month. Or sometimes over many lifetimes. Letting go can sound so liberating (especially in a buzzword world) but in actuality can be some of the scariest work we do. Allowing ourselves to see what we sidestep and bury into shadow can be murky, confronting and altogether upsetting. To even admit avoidance can be heavy work on the road to unmasking. And it is an unmasking that is what is happening. The many masks we wear to protect, bolster and pretend we fit into something that ultimately we do not. The identity is just that - something attempting to define something that is indescribable. You my friend are indescribable. Do not limit yourself to the fences you create.
Ok now please can someone help me down off this soapbox - oh no one is here...*hobbles down* There is much beauty in this mighty Magha new moon. With Venus and Mercury on either side of the Sun and Moon we are embraced by these two benefic planets. With these two I see it that there can be a support from relationships and of intellectual clarity/discernment as we unmask. Though along this journey in the next day or two there may be mourning and there may even be out of body experiences as you dethrone your old identity to make way for the new one. Another curious part of a Magha moon is that is has a lot to do with our ancestors. If we look down the line of our past we can see patterns. Curiously we carry similar afflictions to those walking the earth before us if we lean into this heritage. This is not just our hereditary illnesses and diseases. But traumas, habitual wounds, addictions and desires unfulfilled begging for satiation. For in our evolution of our family line we propel the next generation to finish what we started or couldn't finish/resolve. Investigating these long held patterns and cycles can be very painful yet ultimately illuminating and ever more so liberating. And liberation is what we seek this new moon. A million lights are dancing and there you are, a shooting star
An everlasting world and you're here with me, eternally Xanadu ~ Electric Light Orchestra/Olivia Newton-John There is an energy building slowly jettisoning you, hurling you, towards something. Like an asteroid in the sky without knowing where or if there is an end to the journey you free fall through the abyss with only the journey itself as comfort. Gone is the bed of habits and conveniences that once created solace and now it is the unknown that is the home itself. This is the way. The only way now from here. A Dhanishta full moon in Capricorn (true astronomical position) has the symbol of a drum. A drum like the heart creates momentum and circulates a rhythm to create the momentum of life. There is a momentum this full moon with a beat you can move to and towards to create more prosperity in yours (and others) lives. Friday 11:35am AEST the moon fully illuminates us into this beat and joins Saturn in the sky. The conjunction will have us thinking long-term and seriously about concepts questioning 'what is the endpoint' 'where is this going' 'who do I really want to be' 'is this the truth'. This perhaps somber and sober retrospective is vital for you to find this abundance or prosperity in your life to follow. With the anger of the past month dissipating (read my previous post about mars and rahu) there is a depression on the mind to isolate and find the inner rhythms you may have forgotten or lost touch with. Turning within at this time, listening to yourself deeply and 'tuning in' is the only guide you will need to find solace on the adventure ahead. Dhanishta can bring fame but in a world too often saturated in illusion, vanity and attention seeking dare to come home to truth, nurture your authenticity and bathe in humility for these attributes will inspire the world to dance towards the greatest destination of all - the soul.
