I'm into you, you into me
But I can't let it go so easily Not 'til I see what this could be Could be eternity or just a week But, yo, our chemistry is off the chain It's perfect now, but will it change? This ain't a yes, this ain't a no Just do your thing We'll see how we go ~ Aaliyah (Try Again) Sometimes along our journey, whether it be career, relationship or another sector of our life we can fail at first attempt. Without support, confidence or tenacity we can easily give up and call it as 'not meant to be'. Well this new moon I ask of you to ponder the question 'What if it WAS meant to be after all?' and instead of attaching meaning to an initial setback it may just have been a matter of timing or experience and now only needs a second go. A second chance. This mostly is a matter of the heart over the new moon. Particularly as Venus slows down to retrograde in the sign of Leo next door at the end of the week. Someone/something from the past re-enters for you to dust yourself off and try again with. Don't be surprised if people or blocked opportunities emerge from June and now you see a green light. This isn't the whole story as there is a bigger Venus adventure ahead but let's just keep it to this lunar cycle. The nakshatra Punarvasu means 'good again'. We renew and renourish at this time. This may mean slowing down or may mean things lightening up - whatever heals us at this stage in the year. This even reminds me of Venus herself as a planet. Venus is the only planet that can bring someone/something back to life from the dead. Feel into your heart and feel into the space that feels lost, stuck or abandoned. Where has it surrendered to loss or accepted defeat - this will give you a clue on where you are daring to grow and feel again? If we use the analogy of these spaces in your heart as dry and brittle plants - we now know where and what needs to be watered at this time. This is the power of this new moon to grant a second chance of prosperity. To win where one has lost. To see light where there was darkness. Stay light, Mark :) #astrology #vedicastrology #jyotish #sydneyyoga #yogasydney #newmoon #cancer #leo #venus #astrologersofinstagram

This time of year in the vedic lunar calendar is always a special full moon. When the full moon illuminates in Sagittarius we have a guru purnima or moon honouring our teachers. 'Guru' is a term that isn't an easy one for westerners much like 'Jesus' or 'worship' or 'devotion'. After the trouble that we have seen from religions, cults and institutions in general there is a deep scepticism and fear around surrendering ones ego to anyone - and because of this now most of all ourselves. In India (and many other eastern cultures) we can learn the art of respect, discipline and surrender to our minds to something greater - hopefully the divine vs deception and fraud. I could go on about this but why I bring it up is more to soften the palate to encourage openness at this time for all that have taught you awareness or awakened you. In deep gratitude and reverence acknowledging your own naivety/ignorance and that you have had the darkness lit by those who have walked the path before is a deeply humbling and purifying act.
Moving on to the full moon peaking tomorrow night at 9:38pm AEST we have a moon in Purva Ashada. Through strength and connection at this time we gain lustre. Water particularly becomes an important element to purify and regenerate. Basically we are cleansing and this will leave us invigorated! So coming back to that Guru moon - where in your mind is in need of a good clean - old tired and outdated thoughts, habits etc now need to be actioned. What you put your energy into this moon is very much invigorated so pick wisely as it will quickly come to fruit. Mars and Saturn at this time are powerfully positioned opposite in the sky so there will be some frustration and slow progress (but there WILL be progress). This month is the time to get moving, plan, act, remove anything in the way that is holding you back and be brave. It's a good time to be around community, be out in the world and also move ahead with goals. And on that I leave bowing down in great thanks to some of my many teachers @komillasutton, Clive Sheridan and Sri Sakthi Narayani Amma. Stay light, Mark :) #astrology #jyotish #vedicastrology #gurupurnima #mars #saturn #sagittarius #astrologersofinstagram #horoscope #yogasydney #sydneyyoga |
