This upcoming full moon in Shatabhishak (the star holding a hundred medicines) is joined by a retrograde Saturn. It may be more of a sombre and slow pace over the next couple of days in comparison to other full moons. Mentally we may be suffering or feeling a burden which may bring cathartic moments of healing, leaving us stronger or firmer after we have weathered the storm - remember Saturn values patience and hard work. The sun sandwiched in between a retrograde Venus and Mars shows there are independent actions to be taken while relationships are healing/changing (and even taking a backseat). Venus goes direct next Monday which will bring a sigh of relief to many confusions/blocks in this area (hang in there).
Sometimes in our lives We all have pain We all have sorrow But if we are wise We know that there's always tomorrow Lean on me When you're not strong And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on... For it won't be long Till I'm gonna need somebody to lean on ~Bill Withers Stay light, Mark :) #astrology #vedicastrology #jyotish #retrograde #fullmoon #horoscope #astrologersofinstagram #sydneyyoga #yogasydney

Stock up on toilet paper, lock up your valuables, protect all the children and buy into all the hysteria on socials that you can! This is is going to be a...another day followed by another day on this ride of life. Of course these retrogrades can have an effect BUT It's how you choose to live your experience in any experience that creates a hero out of a fool. I could leave it there and if I had a microphone I would drop it. Boom.
Great Scott! we live in a world full of noise - with so much drama, fear tactics and manipulations to hook us into investing either time or money into things - usually things with little substance or value to our lives - that give other people money or power. So let's get clear planets NEVER move backwards. They are perceived by our eye from earth to go back because of orbital speed and they ARE a touch closer to the earth (when I say closer it's like a person travelling to a the second pub over in Greenland that is closer to you in Australia). Make sense Marty? Ok let's continue to the flux capacitor! Anyway I had a point with my astronomical rants! Astrologically planets in (perceived) reverse (and YES all but Mars are involved over the next month) are said to turn the energy of the planet inward or intensify it. Someone born with many retrogrades is said to be unconventional (I thank my teacher for pointing that finger at me). Now too much of a good thing can happen at this time, sure. Things most probably won't go to 'plan'. But also you could revisit and reassess many aspects of your life and make them BETTER and get a chance to do it all over in a new and enlightening way. Whatever happens from here for the next few weeks or so take a breath, try it a different way and choose to do it your way. I wanna love you but I better not touch I wanna hold you, but my senses tell me to stop I wanna kiss you but I want it too much I wanna taste you but your lips are venomous poison You're poison, running through my veins You're poison I don't want to break these chains ~ Alice Cooper The Sun, Moon and retrograding Venus all residing in Ashlesha this new moon is potent stuff. Ashlesha is a feared and often misunderstood moon. Perhaps because of its tendency to inflict pain like a snake defending itself. And much like a snake that is misrepresented as a villain of the animal kingdom we fear what we don't understand. And what we don't understand in ourselves we project onto something else. We then become a victim to our circumstances and create an enemy of the external. Well this new moon the victim stops here. It is within the next day or so an opportunity to confront our challenges arises. Now yes these can of course be outward such as a inimical person or situation (Venus is involved so it could definitely be relationships) but I'm definitely a fan of the notion that so without, so within - the macrocosm is just a reflection of the microcosm. Wherever there is agitation in your experience is the first port of call to witness/explore. And it is your fear that you have the power to overcome this lunar cycle. Just after the new moon the moon then crosses the gandanta point (water crosses fire) and we are tested on this deep dive into our fears. The warning here is to avoid paralysis and stagnancy. Anti Gandalf says "YOU MUST PASS" otherwise you're basically stuck on a bridge with a bunch of hairy footed hobbits for a holiday in Orcland (for who knows how much longer). It's also a good time to remember even though you're passing over a bridge of troubled waters YOU can also be the poison at this time. So be mindful of HOW you say your truth to others and don't inflict harm whilst you're in your shit. Be wise, be kind. They light up the river that the birds fly over Better not to quench your thirst Better not to be the first one diving in Though you caught me and you know why They breathe in the deepest part of the water What's the matter? You hurt yourself? Opened your eyes and there was someone else? Now I've got you in the undertow ~ Warpaint The journey of Venus retrograde is a fascinatingly curious one. When the goddess returns to the underworld, much like the Greek myth Persephone and Hades, disappearing from our skies transforming from evening star to morning star (or vice versa and in reverse in the hemispheres). Another myth is Banumbirr (or morning star) was a creator-spirit in the Yolngu culture of Arnhem Land and she is said to have guided the first humans across the waters to Australia. But as she leaves our skies dying/transforming we are without this guiding light in the skies. In all things Venus we shed a skin, we lose something, to gain something new but we are very much on our own merits and needing to face that realisation/fear. Much like Shukra or Venus in the Vedic texts we have the power to bring something back from the dead or resuscitate new life into our hearts. But this takes us facing our ultimate fear, letting go and leaving a part of us behind. To travel across the ashes and become something different. You cannot enter the underworld without a death - this I ask you to meditate on. This journey has already begun in our skies and culminates in early September. As Venus retrogrades in our sky we have a nourishing Sun in Pushya opposing the full moon in Shravana. Shravana whispers to us to listen. To tune into the silence that will fill us. Shanti or peace is the ultimate restorer over the next few days. Rest is also important to recharge. That being said, there is much in Leo and Aries lighting up the courage within for this love journey so it won't be slow or uneventful but perhaps if only for a day or two: take it easy and make some time for yourself to expand into the silence that has all the answers you need to hear to support you on this path.
