​I always pondered why the Sun is in Aquarius on the most romantic day of the year. The intellectual sign of humanitarian pursuits hardly seemed as fitting as say the romantic Libra or the poetic Pisces. Yet if you look closer, which so often in life unearths countless treasures, you see the Sun is opposite to where it rules in Leo. The Sun in Aquarius resides 7 signs away from where it belongs in Leo. It is in the opposition of signs we find our polarity that balances us. From self (sun) to other (7 signs away). In the birth chart your 7th house represents marriage, partner and other - the mirror that reflects you. The external that assists and integrates the internal - on our journey home to remembering our completeness.

This V Day we find Mars and Venus dancing closely together for about a month. They journey through 3 signs together over the next few months from Sagittarius to Capricorn to Aquarius. United together these two principles of masculine and feminine (in us all to different balancing degrees) can be passionate bubbling over to the battleground most of us know all too well. This heightened bubbling, boiling and steamy dance creates a universal tango we must rhythmically embrace. There is a flow to our step and an order to these steps if we can tune in to the heartbeat within us all ( (Baby, get out of the corner). This dance is eternal and when conquered it creates an escalation of balanced energy much like the raising of kundalini.

Sagittarius has already begun this two step, this back and forth, this serenade of spirit. We begin optimistically (as Sagittarius is so embedded with) and expansively and then move into the committed Capricorn around the 28th of Feb. The union then turns serious and reality hits. Finally Mars and Venus cha cha into Aquarius in May cultivating the freedom of this sign to connect but not possess another. This can play out in your actual human relationships but ultimately this is only a reflection of what we all move through energetically...this union is for each and everyone of us, regardless of the modern take on Saint Valentine's agenda to sell romance...this romance is deeper than human bonds. It is a bond of divine love from cloth we are all made of and long to sew back together into the universal stars of spirit.
