HOLY SH!T BALLS!!! What a ride this final eclipse portal for the year this has been...am  i right?! I have heard from so many clients, students and friends on how galactically INTENSE this one has felt. For me this has been a time to unearth deep poison from within and severe it. It has not been easy and yet it hasn't been impossible or insurmountable. There has been support in the collapse and reformation.

Now as we come to the partial lunar eclipse Thursday eve/Friday Morning (again not visible on Australian shores) what has come up from the underworld is now ready to be healed. The full moon is in aquarius in shatabhishak with the power of healing. This healing may bring a crisis moment and most certainly requires forgiveness for what was has done or had done to them. For you to move through this eclipse cycle you are required to create a space to heal - whether that be rest, confrontation, detachment or changing your perspective.

Now as interesting as the moon is I find the opposite part of the sky much more revealing and transformative. The Sun in Magha (the sign of ancestors) is with the past life karmic point Ketu and also with Mercury. There is a conversation to be had to end an old identity. This may feel like it is bound soley to your independent life but truly it is tied to your ancestors. A wound. A cycle or pattern of existing that is supremely poisonous and outdated. For you to heal, this has to end. 

I think to the Greek myth of Orpheus here. A bard in love with a nymph that is poisoned to death by a snake (the solar eclipse) on their wedding day. He follows her down into the underworld to resuscitate her back to the land of the living. His devotional song is so heartbreaking that even Hades agrees to allow for the first time ever a soul to return back to the life on one condition - that he doesn't gaze upon her on the homeward journey until they have returned to the world above. At the final moment before they step into this realm he doubts, he panics and in his fear he turns back to see her vanish downward back to Hades.

This cautionary tale is a warning on our human journey of alchemy and transformation. We all face hardship and suffering in life. It is inevitable. We plummet into separation and darkness in these moments. Like Orpheus we can sing out in pain and confront our demons. But along the journey of healing we can lose faith and even want to turn back to the pain we have suspiciously befriended, a toxic bedfellow that has unfortunately become our home. Become our cage. And just before we reach the release and ending of this suffering we can choose the very pain we were trying to end.

Let this story be your guide this full moon. Do not return to the walls that keep you trapped in the past. Do not embrace the wounds that have kept you in decline. Allow yourself to step into this world and take your first full look upon what you can truly become. What you truly are.

I want to make this eclipse season as clear as I can. Tomorrow we fully enter the portal emotionally entwined. Pay very close attention to what is coming up for you either in your waking life or perhaps more poignantly in dreaming. There are strong messages. There are strong poisons unearthing from deep within.

The solar eclipse is a portal into what keeps us bound, addicted, strangled. Sometimes this can feel good, sometimes this can feel bad but ultimately it keeps us stuck. This toxicity keeps us coming back for more like heroin esque enchantment. We know it's not good for us but it is also far too alluring to not return too. 

Now you may be thinking - ok I've just got to cut it out of my life! Well no, it ain't that simple. For in this poision is your cure. I want you to sit with that if you can, really encompass whatever this pain and desire is. For the solar eclipse is just the beginning. The rising as the veils of the mundane and coping mechanisms break for a vital chance to truly see what is sitting beneath. The why of why this keeps happening and the opportunity to heal it on the lunar eclipse to follow.
