Childhood living is easy to do
The things you wanted I bought them for you Graceless lady you know who I am You know I can't let you slide through my hands I watched you suffer a dull aching pain Now you decided to show me the same No sweeping exits or offstage lines Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind I know I dreamed you a sin and a lie I have my freedom but I don't have much time Faith has been broken, tears must be cried Let's do some living after we die ~Rolling Stones The coming-in-hot year of the horse starts with a GALLOP! As I am travelling over the next fortnight I wanted to get in early to talk about this new moon solar eclipse on the 18th of February. Now as always the eclipse game sheet: stay calm, eat light, try not be around large groups of people, take time to tune in/be in nature/meditate/chant. Though this Dhanishta new moon is somewhat healing with Rahu/Karmic axis (and Venus) in the healing hands of Satabishak. And this healing is happening with and around people/relationships so it's not as isolating as other eclipses. With all this Aquarius energy I like to think of this new moon as an awakening. It makes me want to use racing lingo (though I don't agree with racing animals) - 'fresh out of the gate' kinda energy. This new moon eclipse will definitely start us off with some swift different even oddball energy. Try not to act straight away around the actual eclipse as things will be amplified, perhaps a little chaotic and won't be clear until the dust settles. But where you can act is observing the inner changes that are taking place within you at this time. The eclipse will amplify these inner changes of self expression and bring some BIG clues on where you are trotting ahead this year. Lastly this new moon depending where it falls in your birth chart will activate new karma in your life. To explore this further and with more personalised insight book a reading with me through my website. I wish you a surprisingly innovative and refreshing solar eclipse ahead. Strap in, Bonnie! Stay light, Mark :)

Well, you can't hold me, I'm too slippery
I do no sleep in, I get lonely You can touch me if you want to I got poison I just might bite you Lie in circles on the sunlight Shine like diamonds On a dark night Ain't no mercy in my smilin' Only fangs and sweet beguiling Well future, he don't try to find me Skin I been through Dies behind me Solid hollow wrapped in hatred Not a drop of venom wasted Well, you can slip in, try to find me Hold your breath and flat deny me It makes no difference to my thinkin' I'll be here when you start sinkin' ~Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan My mum was born with an Ashlesha moon. When I read her vedic chart for the first time she was in her 60s. I said to her an Ashlesha moon has the tongue of a snake and like a snake it has potency, power and poison symbolically in its words. My mum without any delay retorted back "I've never been afraid to say what I think or ask questions that might make people uncomfortable". And thus the joy of reading for someone who has lived and grown to know themselves. Moreso the joy of reading for an Ashlesha moon. Unafraid to speak the truth. And this is where we find ourselves this full moon. Now Ashlesha is the snake or naga. Nagas hold the secrets. And within holding these divine secrets they can be used to poison or enlighten. That is the test of Ashlesha. When to strike and when to be still. This will be your test this full moon. To express or hold your tongue, otherwise risking the effect of rattling those in front of you. Now this isn't the full story. There are a plethora of planets opposite in Capricorn - Pluto, Mars, Sun, Venus and Mercury. These 5 planets are holding the energy that reflects onto our dear moon (or mind) creating a very strong anchor and pressure on integrity, responsibility and timing. What does this tell me? Wait, there is a little more left to uncover before you can move ahead or speak. And this Chinese year of the snake is (unfortunately) not done with us. This full moon we remove our last skin before the new moon in a fortnight that takes us into the year of the horse. Fascinatingly the process of skin removal for a snake takes 7-14 days which is lunar timings so: Let. Go. Stay light, Mark :) |
